Author's Note

If you haven't had a chance to read chapter 24 of Stormy, this post is going to be about that. SPOILERS ahead.

Some of you may be wondering why I made Gracie pregnant. The idea came to me when I was writing Forbidden Imprint. There was a chapter in that story where Embry goes out to Hawaii and begs a pregnant Rebecca to run away with him, even though they both thought that the baby was her husband's. I always planned on the baby being Embry's, but when I sat down to write the chapter there was brief moment when I thought...what if the baby's actually Ian's. How would Embry, or any wolf for that matter, handle his imprint getting pregnant by someone else? It was an idea I really wanted to explore because I've personally never read an imprint story where the imprint deliberately turns her back on the imprinter and then gets pregnant by another man. So I decided to go for it in Stormy. LOL, and no one was more fitting to screw things up than Gracie.

But the reason why I had Embry of all people talk to Ryan at the end of chapter 24 was because if it wasn't Forbidden, I wouldn't have thought of that twist in the first place. ;)
